1898

333 E. Lawson St., St. Paul

Little Eddie was almost two and his sister Edith almost one this year.

Toys include dolls, a set of bowling pins with balls, and four printed-cloth dolls...3 on the tree and a larger ethnic doll to the right. Two child-size chairs - one a wicker rocker, and a pull-wagon in front looks like it's full of canon balls. Actually, they are oranges, a treat traditionally placed under their trees.

Did the adults exchange gifts? Modestly. There's a broom and dustpan on the left, and perhaps the hankerchief on the tree was for Edward.
